I have reverted the notes and references back to their original succinct format of inline notes (with author and page number) and their full bibliographic reference – a format favoured by many featured articles and approved of in the Manual of Style. The references were/are formatted without citation templates, the use of which is highly contentious. If there is any consensus of their use it is that editorial consensus be reached before they are applied to an article. Best regards, Oxonhutch (talk) 09:18, 23 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
