1976….what happened to Gandy Dancers after Conrail ( the US Government) took over the railroads? edit
Conrail rescinded all rail maintenance, thus Gandy Dancers , as a regular full time hired team ended, but when there was a derailment, then as now, a group of men are hired to take care of the presenting problem which may have been averted if regular maintenance crews were maintained. 76.144.117.20 (talk) 02:10, 18 February 2023 (UTC)

Are you sure? I thought it refered to the vagina - as in the imagery of a rolled confectionary.
