Suggest title be changed edit

Suggest that this articles title be changed to Game & Watch Gallery series.

I disagree with the idea of merging the articles, I believe they should retain their own articles (like the Super Mario Advance series eventually did). However I noticed that no one has replied to that idea in nearly two months so I'm considering removing that tag. SNS 14:51, 12 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Cameos and other references section edit

This section is just one very long unreadable sentance at the moment and needs cleaning up or deleting. WhizzBang 15:09, 5 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Since no-one cleaned this up I have deleted the "Cameos and other references" section. I tried to clean it uyp myself but simply could not make sense of what on earth it was about. WhizzBang 14:58, 5 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Game & Watch Gallery 4 boxing screenshot.png edit

Image:Game & Watch Gallery 4 boxing screenshot.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Das Chart edit

Why does that chart call the games "Fighter" and what's with the Game & Watch Collection 2? I've never heard of it and the article doesn't mention it... TheUncleBob (talk) 19:28, 26 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I copied it from the SSB series page, and forgot to change that. Also, G&WC2 is a Club Nintendo game. - A Link to the Past (talk) 20:09, 26 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
The article should have a section devoted to G&WC2 then! And curse you for letting me know about this, I just dropped about $35 on eBay for it. :)

Here's [[1]] a source for anyone interested in adding a section to the article. TheUncleBob (talk) 05:24, 27 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Popeye in G&WG4? edit

Can anybody clarify the inclusion of Popeye on the chart? Semerl —Preceding undated comment added 18:07, 6 July 2009 (UTC).Reply

Game Boy Gallery? edit

"Game Boy Gallery was released in Europe and Australia in 1995 for the Game Boy. Unlike other games in the series, this one has neither Modern nor Classic modes. It is very different compared to other games in the series."

Wait, what? So what is it? What games are in it? And how can it have neither Modern nor Classic modes? Does this even exist? 70.18.99.149 (talk) 02:18, 10 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Rename article? edit

This article is the result of an earlier (Sept. 2008) merger between Game & Watch Gallery, Game & Watch Gallery 2, Game & Watch Gallery 3, and Game & Watch Gallery 4. At the time of the merger, the merge title "Game & Watch Gallery series" was perfectly appropriate. In May 2008, however, Game & Watch Collection was also merged into this article and I think this addition has expanded the scope of the article beyond its title. This is further demonstrated by the addition of a subsection on Game & Watch Collection 2 and now with the addition of coverage of the stand-alone DSiWare releases. I agree that the merge between these topics is a good idea, however I no longer believe that "Game & Watch Gallery series" is appropriate for the title since neither the "Game & Watch Collection" games nor the "Game & Watch: [TITLE]" series of DSi games belongs to the "Game & Watch Gallery" series. I think a better name might be "Game & Watch collections" or perhaps "Game & Watch ports and remakes". Does anyone else have a good name? Or does anyone else think that the current title should remain as-is? A little feedback would be much appreciated. -Thibbs (talk) 15:18, 6 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

"Games featured" table correct? edit

The table with all the games featured doesn't seem right. For example, Game & Watch Gallery 2 lists 13 games with "Yes" - although it actually only has 6 games (which is correctly stated in the section below). So what is the meaning of this table? Perhaps it doesn't list the games that are playable, but rather that are shown in some way, for example as an image? Then I would suggest to a) clearify that and b) detail the table from simple "Yes"/"No" to "Playable"/"Featured"/"Not included".

Also: That wiki page seems to have errors in it, too: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Game_%26_Watch_games Same example: The game "Tropical fish" is said to have been remade in Game & Watch Gallery 2, but that's actually wrong as far as I know. I guess there are a lot more errors on that wiki page and I suppose they come simply because the table on this page is wrong / not clear enough.

Or is there anything I'm missing here?

--Romplayer (talk) 21:24, 19 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

The figures on this page frequently get changed. It happens frequently enough that by now I have completely lost track of which games are available on which carts. The obvious way to solve this is to require reliable sources to back up any edits. If there is no reliable source that covers the topic then the whole chart should be removed. You might want to ask for help locating reliable sources at WT:VG. -Thibbs (talk) 01:30, 20 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
