Restructuring 2022

The past days I've been trying to restructure the article, making it more readable (I hope) and removing some redundant info. This is still a work in progress. Gates section is rewritten. I reinstated both gates as portcullised, because of one solid source (first edition 1938 or earlier, reprinted 2005). There is an endless series of websites saying the same, but I attach less value to these texts, since they seem to have been copied over and over. Inside the Main gate there is something like an empty slot for what I think could have been for the portcullis.
