External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just modified one external link on Gale warning. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/web/20060703204148/http://www.msc-smc.ec.gc.ca/cd/brochures/warning_e.cfm to http://www.msc-smc.ec.gc.ca/cd/brochures/warning_e.cfm
When you have finished reviewing my changes, you may follow the instructions on the template below to fix any issues with the URLs.

Cone signal
editI believe a cone on a pole was used as a visual gale warning in the UK from 1860 to at least the 1930s & possibly mid-20th century. The orientation of the cone indicated the wind direction. I think this would be worth adding to the article, especially if a picture could be found. I'll do a bit more digging, but feel free to preempt me. Note: there is an Irish Times article that may be a suitable source; not much else online. D Anthony Patriarche (talk) 16:33, 27 April 2019 (UTC)
