The project's homepage link is no longer valid, at least it doesn't work for me. Can anyone confirm? Matevzk 22:05, 27 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

WinFS edit

I added a link to WinFS, noting that WinFS's goals are similar to those of GNOME Storage. This link was removed, with an edit summary of "maybe WinFS has similar goals, but with completely different architectures and solutions." I added the same link in it:GNOME Storage and this was also removed, with an edit summary of "stento a vedere una correlazione con WinFS e il fatto che sarebbero due vaporware innovativi non li collega." As for the two having completely different architectures, the same could be said of, e.g. World Trade Center and Sears Tower, yet those two articles link to each other. It seems disingenuous to suggest that the only thing the two have in common is that they are both vaporware. To me, it seems like GNOME Storage and WinFS are comparable solutions to the same problem; by "comparable," I mean "it would be interesting to compare the two." As such I don't see why having a link to WinFS from here detracts from this article. —Fleminra 06:07, 29 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

They are not directly related to each other. The only relation is that they both are trying to implement some sort of Semantic File System. So the links should be via that article, not direct. --soum talk 15:18, 12 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
I have to agree with Fleminra; they two systems of the same type, and as such the link should be in place SkippyUK (talk) 09:11, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

De-prod edit

  • Pinging Piotrus as per prod request. There is a slight possibility of merge to Desktop Search ... though I have no certainty that is a good idea ... I certainly am slightly uncomfortably with a prod. Thankyou. Djm-leighpark (talk) 10:30, 11 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
