Talk:GA16DE

Latest comment: 1 year ago by Mr.choppers in topic Why this article ?

Are you sure that almera has the GA16DE engine instead of SR16DE?

There is no SR16DE. There are only SR16VE and N1.

I think the N15 (Almera) has an GA16DS.

Written by a first grader... edit

I had to edit much of this article. I left its integrity intact and didn't change any of the facts, but I just could not stand how it seemed to have been written by a first grader. Before my changes this article read like crap, with numerous grammatical errors and very broad statements.

Here are some examples of what I changed... "...and 16valve configuration power..." Was changed to... "... and 16 valve configuration. Power..."

"...better cams..." Was changed to... "...more aggressive cams..."

"...sparky performance..." Was changed to... "...decent performance..."

I feel my changes are a vast improvement over the original. I think there needs to be much more statistical content added to this page, but I'll let someone else take care of that. When you really think about it, this article really shouldn't exist. Instead it should be combined with the article about the Nissan GA Series Engine, since this engine shares so much in common with all GA series engines.

I'd also just like to add that I owned one of these engines and it was neither reliable nor "Sparky." It was an underpowered pile of junk that left all of its piston rings from cylinder 2 in the oil pan. Even when it did run well years and years before its death it couldn't even hit 60 in 9 seconds. I think the article should be changed to say what a weak, lethargic engine the GA16DE can be. I would do it but I know there are 16 year old kids who just got the GA16 engine in their 1994 Sentra and still think that the GA16DE engine is the most powerful engine to ever grace this Earth, so I'll just leave it alone. They'll see the truth one day, probably after they wreck their slow little car into a tree..... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.110.206.59 (talk) 23:39, 27 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Why this article ? edit

This engine is included in the regular Nissan GA engine article, so why this here? If there is any information which is worth to retain it should be included in the main GA article. Finally, the lemma should include "Nissan" if this article shall really remain existent. --Wolle1303 (talk) 00:39, 30 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
