To do - Freopedia Heritage Tour edit

We should add a mention of this map showing the locations of the plaques. The map is included under http://www.visitfremantle.com.au/Things-to-do/Fremantle-walking-trails

... OK, so it's already under External links, but the direct link might be better, as well as some words in the article text, and a link to Fremantle walking tours and trails. Mitch Ames (talk) 14:08, 17 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Very good idea, please add - see that article as well. satusuro 14:23, 17 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Done Most of it's actually already there - I should have read it bit more thoroughly before posting. However, I have added a mention of Fremantle walking tours and trails. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mitch Ames (talkcontribs) 20:14, 18 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Project edit

This was started and remains a project - there are quite a few articles about wikimedia australian projects that have details in mainspace that are tagged as project JarrahTree 03:27, 8 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Could you give some examples of mainspace articles that are tagged as project? My instinct is that it is incorrect to do so. Steelkamp (talk) 03:34, 8 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
For heavens sake, project space in Australia has been around for decades, (I am not sure you should invoke personal psychology for this issue) -https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Wikipedia_meetups_in_Australia - - and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category_talk:Wikipedia_and_Wikimedia_Australia
Please note that 'undoing' things that exist should not be an exercise in showing what you dont know. Thanks. JarrahTree 03:43, 8 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
You gave me no examples of mainspace articles that are tagged as project-class. According to this petscan, Freopedia is the only Australian article in mainspace that is tagged as project-class. Your assertion that there is "quite a few articles about wikimedia australian projects that have details in mainspace that are tagged as project" is incorrect. Category:Project-Class articles says at the top that "this is a maintenance category, used for maintenance of the Wikipedia project. It is not part of the encyclopedia and contains non-article pages". Looks like my instinct was correct. This shows that it is improper for mainspace articles to be tagged as project-class. @JarrahTree and Steelkamp: I'm assuming this is section is about this edit which tagged Freopedia article as Project class and which was then undone? It does sound like it shouldn't be Project, because that is used for 'meta' pages and not actual encyclopedia articles. At least, that's my understanding. Sorry JarrahTree, I agree with Steelkamp! — Sam Wilson 06:23, 8 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
fair enough - the ambiguousness of the word 'project' across some aspects of wikipedia may be clarified in this particular point, but its not as straight forward as that. So it goes. JarrahTree 14:20, 10 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
