Was this song a single? It doesn't say that in the article; it just says that it was "the opening track" from Full Moon Fever. If it was a single, someone should put that in the article; if it wasn't, take out the "1989 singles" cat. Foxmulder 16:30, 29 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

oppose merge edit

this song is more than notable enough to merit its own page, indeed it's listed here

Lyrics Citation needed edit

I think the missing citation needed comes from the lyrics itself in the 4th verse that says: "And I'm a BAD BOY, for don't even miss her....".

If it's right can someone update that, please? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 201.37.94.165 (talk) 17:18, 7 January 2007 (UTC).Reply

Jerry McGuire edit

I don't feel comfortable with editing a page. But I feel that it should be mentioned that the song appears in the movie Jerry McGuire. Jerry (Tom Cruise) turns on the radio in his car just after he got fired and finds a staton playing Free Fallin' and starts to sing along.

Christian Rock edit

Why is this listed as Christian Rock? Where is the citation for such a claim? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.106.154.4 (talk) 17:47, 21 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

music video edit

Should mention the music video -- kind of begins with teenage 1950s girls holding a party, and continues with a confrontation at a hot-dog stand and a skateboarders skating a ramp set up on top of a hill, interspersed with scenes of Tom Petty at a glass-enclosed mall(?)... Tom Petty's version Vs. John Mayer version edit

Shouldn't there be a sample of Petty's Free Fallin' and not a sample of John Mayer's Free Fallin' cover? Qewr4231 (talk) 04:55, 12 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
