Talk:Frederick Hamilton (Royal Navy officer)

Hamilton almost certainly was not in command of Hood, but held the rank of commander aboard the ship. Simply put, a battleship would only be under the command of someone of lower rank than captain under very extraordinary circumstances, such as her imminent paying off or in the extremes of wartime. The citation for this command is also a broken link. I am going to remove the mention for now until it can be confirmed. DulcetTone (talk) 13:53, 16 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
