So he is gay, then? Do we have evidence of that? Salvar 05:10, 27 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well, If you go into Ricky Wilson's wiki page and the use the link marked as (1) Then it takes you to an article in which fred states that he and the other male band members were gay, But I have my doubts. In fact, (Except for cindy wilson) If you believed everything on these wikipedia pages you'd believe that 4 out of 5 of the members were gay or lesbian. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.141.208.116 (talk) 23:26, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fred states he and the others were gay, "but you have your doubts?" Why on earth would he lie? And why do you find it odd that the band, which was formed by friends, would be primarily gay? Gay people are known to congregate together once in a while, after all. 206.218.218.57 (talk) 20:11, 8 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fred says he is gay on Howard Stern Show on 2/22/10 as logged here: http://marksfriggin.com/news.htm#mon He says that he came out of the closet to his mother while she was vacuuming, and she said "I know Freddie" and kept vacuuming. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.120.17.232 (talk) 05:37, 23 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Space Ghost Coast to Coast edit

Last night I was watching Space Ghoast: Coast to Coast and he appeared on it. I think that should be mentioned in the article. 142.167.32.81 10:52, 7 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Fred1.jpg edit

Image:Fred1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:54, 4 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Family Guy reference edit

He is referenced in a Family Guy episode (Petergeist) in which TV host Tom Tucker "practices his Fred Schneider B-52's voice", saying "Now try to get some sleep out there" (the clip appears on youtube). Zchris87v 06:50, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

MTV heyday edit

"Monster" isnt listed. It was a bizarre video when MTV was young; stop motion, stobe lights, etc at a time when bands were just recorded singing. After Monster & similar videos by the Talking Heads, more creative videos came about. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.174.83.232 (talk) 15:35, 11 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Cowbell? edit

What's all this about a cowbell? Someone keeps putting he is a cencerro? What is a cencerro? And it states in his instruments section he plays cowbell, shouldn't that just be classed as percussion as i've seen him play other things? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.242.177.72 (talk) 18:27, 30 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
