This article is not written as an encyclopedia entry. It used to start "this paper" which is exactly what it reads like, in tone, content and style. It also removed the standard article layout with the taxobox, lead etc., which I have reinstated. It needs re-writing to a "normal" encyclopedic style. I have also removed speculation about what researchers could do as WP:CRYSTAL.
