Too much stuff edit

After some thought, it occurs to me that this page has much potential for bloat, and should be used only to disambiguate things actually called "Frankenstein", and not include any tangentially related articles, such as Electric Frankenstein, Young Frankenstein, Doc Frankenstein, or Super Frankenstein. The article Frankenstein in popular culture already covers most of these anyway, and a link to that list exists at the bottom of this DAB page. Unless there are objections, I'd like to move that link to the top, add a brief statement of inclusion criteria, and move the others to the pop culture list if they aren't already there. Let me know what y'all think! - Tobogganoggin talk 00:49, 26 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

See also: The problem is bigger than just this page:

Frankenstein (film), disambiguation
Frankenstein (TV miniseries), disambiguation
Frankenstein (2007), redirect to Frankenstein (2007 TV movie)
Frankenstein (miniseries), redirect to Frankenstein (TV miniseries)

I started some of the above and now have second thoughts. I'll help implement the consensus. – Conrad T. Pino 11:26, 28 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Comments & question: Limiting titles to "Frankenstein" may not be enough to avoid bloat. I like Frankenstein in popular culture but it's long and not as useful for some purposes as a simple list. How about using this as top page in a disambiguation page hierarchy? – Conrad T. Pino 11:35, 28 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
I like that idea. How about doing away with the "miniseries" disambig text and instead creating:
As well as using these suggestions:
I'm not really sure what to do about music, as there are only two links, but mentions of a few others and links to the bands they relate to. - Tobogganoggin talk 00:50, 2 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
Excellent: I like them all. Let's follow a general rule like too few stay an appropriate section in the parent page and more than a few get moved into a child page. – Conrad T. Pino 06:10, 2 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I've done my best to clean things up (somewhat drastically). If my changes aren't copasetic, feel free to revert or edit! - Tobogganoggin talk 00:42, 22 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Upcoming Opera edit

Hey User:Martinevans123, who just reverted

  • "Frankenstein", an upcoming opera by Mark Grey

with comment "the premier is 12 months away and the only source at the target page is Facebook?"

Here's the official page of the Opera: https://www.lamonnaie.be/fr/program/836-frankenstein

I don't have any Facebook link. I'll boldly re-insert it with the link. Feel free to discuss / rererevert it –Jérôme (talk) 09:45, 8 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hey, Jérôme. We don't use any external links here, of course, just internal links to a target article if the subject itself has none of its own. I don't wish to edit war, but I think you're engaging in WP:CRYSTAL. I think even inclusion at the Mark Grey article is debatable. It simply doesn't exist. Regards. Martinevans123 (talk) 09:49, 8 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
No worries, feel free to change both pages. Or maybe, change the Mark Grey page accordingly. Or maybe, put the corresponding text in HTML comments, so they can be re-included later. Cheers –Jérôme (talk) 09:51, 8 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
As I said, I think that it might reasonably appear at the Mark Grey article, if the source was good enough (but that article is not on my watchlist), but that it should not appear here as it does not exist. I'd welcome other opinions. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 09:55, 8 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Slang edit

The term Frankenstein might refer to something that is made of different parts of different other things, similarly to the monster
