Frank's personal website, franksontag.com does not appear to be functioning any more, so I deleted the link to it from the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.193.85.45 (talk) 17:24, 10 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Recurring Topics of The Impact Program

edit

I think there's a desperate need to fill this part out with more info. There are currently only two items in it and one has no useful info about the particular subject. Roguegeek 10:35, 14 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Agreed, those were the only two examples when I first encountered the article which I started to clean up. I know somewhat of this program but am usually sleeping during its broadcast. It's a very interesting show when I can stay up and listen to it. MrMurph101 03:35, 16 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
I'm never up to listen to it, but I record it with radio SHARK and then listen to it at work on Monday. A little tip there I guess. Anyway, currently looking around the message boards and Yahoo group to find more topics to list. Cancellation?

edit

There needs to be some confirmation here. The KLOS website hasn't said anything. I wonder if there is confusion with the format change at KLSX which changed from a talk format to top-40. MrMurph101 (talk) 01:31, 23 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ok, so he says he's having an announcement at 3 a.m. on Feb. 23 which might be saying the show will no longer be on. However, the article should not be edited to reflect that until there's confirmation the show is cancelled it is jumping the gun to use past tense already when there still is an upcoming show. Agreed. roguegeek (talk·cont) 08:50, 23 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Audio of Sontag where he talks of the cancellation of Impact. Don't know if it can be sourced due to any copyright issues but it does give some good info. One thing he mentioned was that Impact preceded him and several hosts have run the show over the years. He does allude to the possibility of being on KABC radio but nothing is for sure. It's good info for sure. I think we can reference it like any other piece of media like a book or something. I think we just can't point people to the audio file. As far as his speculation goes, we might be able to mention something about it as long as we're careful enough not to add our own speculation. roguegeek (talk·cont) 01:49, 26 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Gut

edit

I've gutted the page to what could be found in reliable sources. Uncited information can be removed per WP:PROVEIT, and it's up to the "add-ee" to find citations to justify points. Page was a little spammy and self-promoting for my tastes as well. Would be nice to see some sort of substantial citation to his work as a motivational speaker since all there really are cites for is his radio work. WLU (t) (c) Wikipedia's rules:simple/complex

I fully support this per WP:BLP. Sections should only be restored once they have been fully sourced (with WP:RS), otherwise restoration is a BLP violation. Reverting BLP violations is exempt from WP:3RR. Verbal chat 12:38, 5 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
