Around 1870, Frank Mayo adapted Wilkie Collins's novel Man and Wife to the American stage, where it was highly successful, playing in New York for Augustin Daly over a hundred times. It was brought to Australia by Mary Gladstane,[1] and revived several times. Doug butler (talk) 22:07, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
