Ellen Wordsworth Darwin, nee Crofts : the second wife of Sir Francis Darwin edit

I am looking for her whereabouts: interred/cremated, but there appears to be no record anywhere!

Any answers/assistance here please or on the Talk Page of Sir Francis Darwin; Martin Packer

Martin. You've been working on this for some time, while not making much progress. Let's review what we know. We know she died on August 29 1903, and we know from death records (via http://www.findmypast.co.uk) that she died in Cambridge. We know from burial records (same source) that she was buried in Girton. The best bet therefore would be St Andrew's Church in Girton, or any cemetery in Girton. If you want to find out more about her, then you'll probably have to do some research in the library (both uni and council) looking at the University/college records, her husband's private papers, local newspapers, etc. Barney the barney barney (talk) 23:40, 25 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
Remember too that she is likely to be listed as "Ellen Darwin" or even "Mrs Francis Darwin" rather than under her maiden name. Barney the barney barney (talk) 23:43, 25 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
