1976 population? edit

Under famous residents, I deleted the reference to a population of 840 residents from the sentence that discusses the 1976 version of Ghost Towns of Alberta as the source and date of this population is inconclusive. A review of federal census counts for Fort Vermilion from 1956 to 2006 inclusive shows that it never once recorded exactly 840 residents as a result of these federal censuses. The 1971 census recorded 740 while the 1976 census recorded 729. Perhaps 840 was Will Ferguson's estimate of the time in his writings? --Hwy43 (talk) 06:48, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
