Red-Haired Nance edit

Apparently, Red-Haired Nance was a local hero in one of the two battles. There is a statue in the town to this person (http://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/style/the-recovery-puzzle-a-new-factory-in-ohio-struggles-to-match-jobs-to-job-seekers/2014/04/05/098d53ec-b44e-11e3-8cb6-284052554d74_story.html?wpisrc=nl_most). It seems worth including in the article. Is it agreed?211.225.33.104 (talk) 02:54, 7 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

A little searching brought information on which battle (St. Clair's defeat) she was in and what happened to her (she moved to Cincinnati, where she lived for a long time): http://apps.ohiohistory.org/ohioarchaeology/proposed-work-at-fort-recovery-may-solve-some-of-its-mysteries/ . The statue is apparently mentioned at http://ww2.ohiohistory.org/echoes/im/09e.pdf (at least a text about it comes up on an Internet search, but my computer is so slow loading the PDF that I can't confirm this). On the other hand, there is a newspaper article about the wooden statue, with a picture of it (maybe not complete), here: http://www.dailystandard.com/archive/2009-04-17/stories/8528/fort-statue-honors-indian-war-survivor.211.225.33.104 (talk) 03:16, 7 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
