Forestdale, Croydon to Forestdale, London? Why? edit

Why was this changed from Forestdale, Croydon to Forestdale, London? Forestdale is most certainly part of Croydon, in the same way as Selsdon, Purley, Coulsdon are. Croydon on the whole is part of London, yes. So are we going to change all the Croydon villages to London? Not likely, surely? We seem to have a right old mess with these Croydon villages. We have Norbury, Coulsdon, Selsdon, and Sanderstead, but Purley, London; Forestdale, London; Addington, London; and Shirley, London. Well, they either are entirely on their own, belong to London or belong to Croydon. What is it to be? I can assure you Forestdale, Purley, Addington, Shirley, Sanderstead, Norbury, Coulsdon and Selsdon are very much part of Croydon. Forestdale is one of the original CR0 postcodes, purely Croydon. You can't have it both ways. Dieter Simon 22:21, 22 April 2006 (UTC), Dieter Simon 15:31, 23 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Any district with an unambiguous name is given an article at that name. However, if you go to Purley, Forestdale, Addington etc. you will discover that they are disambiguation pages. The convention for disambiguating London districts is to simply make them "XXXXX, London". That convention is apparent across all articles about London districts.
