Inside or outside the City of London? edit
If Fore Street lies outside the walls, is it not "in" the City? The term City of London has a slightly different meaning than say the city of New York, in that it is understood to refer to the area within the walls of the old city. There's a lot of London outside the The City, which is referred to simply as London or Greater London24.108.28.165 (talk) 00:34, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
- Fore Street was originally outside the City of London but came inside as the boundary of the City expanded. Modern London includes both "the City" and all the other areas of Greater London as you say, but the governance is different. Philafrenzy (talk) 00:54, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
