- Why did the Flutie Effect occur at Auburn? Weren't they already a major university in a major conference (the SEC)?
- UNI had the Flutie Effect due to Kansas choking, did the beneficiaries of other KU chokes also experience the Flutie Effect? I.E. Bucknell University, Bradley University, Virginia Commonwealth University
- Similar to the Flutie Effect is the Stafford Effect, in which a university (e.g. University of Georgia) experiences increased interest from a particular high school (e.g. Highland Park High School) due to an athlete's (e.g. Matthew Stafford) success. Does this happen elsewhere?
