This is my first Wikipedia article, so I accept that there may be many style errors, and any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. That said, I feel that this article is necessary, and therefore disagree with it's 'speedy deletion' tag. I wrote this article because i could not find any wikipedia page on it, when I was looking for information on Firepower. In Australia, the demise of Firepower, and the abdication of CEO Tim Johnston, currently dominate the news media. I plan to keep working on this article, if it stays live. There is an enormous amount of information available on Firepower on the web and in the media, and i plan to try to bring all that together in this article. --QuincyAdams (talk) 05:59, 24 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Agree: it's a useful article, very newsworthy in Australia currently and is going to go on for some time. Moreoever it will become a case study in Australian business, sports sponsorship and the shonky world of too-good-to-be-true energy fixes. Congratulations QuincyAdams on a valuable contribution, especially the use of references. Strayan (talk) 02:19, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Agree: The article is useful, but needs to have the "time-sensitive" phrasings removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DermottBanana (talkcontribs) 11:45, 18 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Caution with entity and personal names! edit

Yes, a much-needed article about what may be shaping up as a notable Australian Ponzi scheme as well as a classic pseudo-technical fraud. However, it's necessary to be 'very' cautious about inclusion of people's names. E.g., one publicised principal in the investment dealings, Warren Anderson, is a prodigious litigant and should never be rashly defamed, irrespective of truth and public interest. Also, it has emerged that 'Firepower' seems to be a succinct referent for a complex rat's nest of corporate entities—with (as yet) indistinctly disclosed connections and hierarchy. You'll see that I have already demarcated 'Firepower International' from 'Firepower Australia' and the 'Firepower Group'. It is still early days and even the professional scribes will make many blunders on these subjects, but it will be wise for us to err on the safe side. Staff content problem edit

The following material has been cut and pasted from the article, having regard to its being uncited OR, and to the necessary precautions about living persons. (I have deleted two gratuitous and apparently derogatory remarks.) Unless there is some verification within three days, we should also blank the material from this space. That is, if it should be here at all. Cheers Bjenks (talk) 05:38, 14 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Er what? edit

What's a 'SCSI interface storage devices' which isn't a hard drive? SSD? Floppy drive with floppys inside? Tape drive with tape inside? Nil Einne (talk) 09:08, 10 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
