Nintendo DS? Where does it say that? The link used as a referance makes no mention of it being for the DS, and neither does the actual article. It just has the title and says to wait for more information in a follow up report soon. You shouldn't jump to conclusions that'll be for the DS just because it has "A2" in the title.

Who knows what system it will be on, but what is it likely going to be on? The PSP have one already, and A2, or advance 2 is clearly meant to mean its somewhat of a sequel to the original, which was on the GBA so its seems logical to think that. I didn't write it, so if you don't want it there just type the site in google and let it translate for you before removing it. CanCanDuo 21:02 Demcember 15 2006 (UTC)

References to the Nintendo DS should be removed for now as only claim so far is that according to people who went to Jump Festa, at the end of Ivalice Alliance trailers it said FFTA2 will be for the DS. The official subtitle of the game is "Grimoire of the Rift", according to Square Enix's trademark (here, I don't know if it works correctly). Someone needs to change the name of the article, then! Zanasea 15:13, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

A trademarked subtitle doesn't mean much. Square Enix has been sitting on a "Chrono" trademark title for a couple of years now. We'll have to wait until Square Enix gives an official English name before changing the article's name. LanceHeart 19:40, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Well, I don't think the example of Chrono is very appropriate this time. We know FFTA2 was announced, that its name contains the word "grimoire" and another one ("fuuketsu") which means something about a sealed cave, and that "Grimoire of the Rift" is very close to it (the "rift" being this mysterious "fuuketsu"). I consider this is proof enough, but well, you are probably right, we need to wait for an official announcement. Zanasea 21:09, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Could the 'fuuketsu/rift' be referring to some sort of portal between the real world and Ivalice? It'd make sense, because a book (a grimoire, to be precise) is what caused the real world to change into the fantasy world of Ivalice in Tactics Advance. SilverCalibur 18:59, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

It is a sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

I had added a sentence "It is a sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance" with references and it was removed twice. The reasons of removal ware "Square Enix does not acknowledge that there is any connection in the contuinity of the games" and "SE has never said that it's a sequel." However, according to references I had added (Famitsu and IT Media), in Dec 18, Square Enix had announced that they are developing Final Fantasy Tactics A2 and it is a sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. The only connection is Mewt at the end of the game. It uses the same battle system, and races, etc. but the first game shows that Ivalice is an imaginary world. The second game shows it as a real world. Twinwarrior (talk)

Hardy?

I believe, purely based on the same katakana and the same color theme (blue), that the moogle named "Hardy" in this page is actually Hurdy, one of the Moogle siblings from FF XII. Considering we don't know if this is remotely in the same time period as FFXII or if Hurdy is born/still alive during the setting of this game, we can't just assume that it's the same Hurdy as in FFXII. I think the character, who's a musician, is named after the Hurdy in hurdy gurdy, which is a musical instrument (used as a weapon) in the game, and has the same katakana as the character name. Hopefully the translators notice that. --Mujokan (talk) 14:59, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

It is Hurdy, and in FFXI you can also find Gurdy, running the Chocobos. In Japanese, the Ha character most reseambles the sound we have for Hurdy, thus the Hardy. Twinwarrior (talk)

Release Date?

The article lists the release date as "July 2007" and links to a Kotaku article. However, SE's official homepage lists the game as "to be released in Fall 2007". link

I really think we should prefer SE's own site over Kotaku as source for reliable information, so I'd suggest the release date to be changed to "Fall 2007". Taku25 13:00, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Realease Date

r My Eb Games have said realease date is on the 26 of June. Have asked other Eb games and they have said 26th also. I keep changing it but it keeps being changed back

I'm assuming that you're in the UK, like me, and are referring to the UK release date. Except in very special situations (e.g. console lauch games), games are only ever released on a Monday or a Friday. June 27th is a Friday, June 26th is a Thursday. Amazon UK says June 27th, Play.com says June 27th and even the official website says June 27th (check News). In short, June 27th is the official release date. Thanks.
