Proposed merger edit

It appears to me that Fenwick Historic District should be merged into this article. It's clear from the nom form that the historic district is supposed to recognize Fenwick, not some subpart of Fenwick. A simple comparison of land areas (194 acres in the HD vs. 0.4 mi2, which corresponds to about 256 acres) that the HD is about 3/4ths of the borough land area. (The National Register listing excludes two areas that have newer buildings.)

Moreover, the whole area is in a local historic district. Ideally, both the local HD and the National Register HD would be discussed in one article, and the most straightforward way to accomplish that would be to put the discussions into the one article about the whole community of Fenwick. --Orlady (talk) 04:54, 21 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

You're trying to add value to wikipedia by following me around and criticizing, it seems. What do you know about this district, other than what is in the NRHP document that i located and added into this article about the NRHP HD. Are you just referring to that?
Relevant to usual discussion, can someone look up whether this meets 3 criteria discussed elsewhere. doncram (talk) 05:26, 21 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
It most definitely does satisfy the 3 criteria. Also, see map linked above. --Polaron | Talk 05:35, 21 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Armitage Shanks edit

Is there any evidence for the claim Armitage Shanks, a British porcelain manufacturer, owns Fenwick's golf course? 2601:18A:C77E:3200:C072:C187:AD5A:73A0 (talk) 20:15, 9 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
