The interventionists, the Whites, the refugees, all need to be discussed in this entry. Wetman 09:30, 22 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Nominally independent? within the Soviet Union or was it its own country?

The Far Eastern Republic was dissolved several weeks before the USSR was created. Just as the article says, it was nominally independent (as in "its own country"; i.e. not a part of Russia), but was in fact controlled by the RSFSR.—Ëzhiki (erinaceus amurensis) 13:50, May 9, 2005 (UTC)

Can someone make a map? 219.77.98.22 02:44, 14 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

But the map is not correct. The Far Eastern Republic strechted along the Pacific Coast until Kamchatka --Roksanna 19:54, 2 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
No that is a really incorrect statement. Please link here something that prove this. Lajbi Holla @ me 21:21, 2 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
The map is copied from Történelmi világatlasz, Budapest, Hungary, 1991, Kartográfiai Vállalat, ISBN 963-351-696-X-CM, page 83/II.. Lajbi Holla @ me 13:29, 5 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I just can compare maps in German or Russian atlas. One is just superficial and more generally than detailed and shows the borders like here. An other one is more detailed and included the northern regions (whole Russian Pacific Coast). Most comparable maps does not show the northern regions at all, so the borders are not visible in the map selections.--Roksanna 18:09, 5 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Instead of correct maps you can find many text descriptions, even in English: just google for "Far Eastern Republic" together with "Kamchatka"! --Roksanna 18:23, 5 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Find some and link it here. I promise I'll check them if there's notable and trusted info. Lajbi Holla @ me 19:28, 5 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Expansion edit

All new paragraphs has been translated from German Wikipedia article (see signature date for page history status). Link is on the left hand panel of the article main. Lajbi Holla @ meWho's the boss? 14:38, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Look, right the first weblink which is mentioned in the article has a chapter about the admistrative divisions. There were five provinces mentioned, one of them was Kamchatka, a few sentences later is mentioned that Kamchatka was ceded to RSFSR end of 1920. So I was right when I told you the map is wrong and should include Kamchatka... or you have to mention in the map´s legend that those were the borders after Kamchatka was given to RSFSR in 1920. --Roksanna (talk) 21:27, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
