Adding a link edit

I was wondering what the group would think about my adding a link to an on-line tour of the temple-square area that includes the Family History Library to this article. The link is located at http://www.allaboutmormons.com/templesquare.php. I should disclose that I am the creator of the site, which is why I wanted to make sure it was alright with the group before posting the link myself. I hope I've proceeded appropriately, as I'm new to Wikipedia and don't understand all of its policies.

Since this article is about the Family History Library, not Temple Square, adding the link would not be appropriate. Additionally, you may wish to read the external links guidelines, which (under "Links to normally avoid") states "A website that you own or maintain, even if the guidelines above imply that it should be linked to." I divided the article in sections edit

I have divided the article in sections, history, purpose, etc. to make it easier to read. I enlarged the picture, added a couple of items in the "see also" section, and added the category "special libraries". I hope this change is welcome. Adrian Comollo (talk) 22:51, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Other LDS "Family History Libraries" edit

About a year ago, several of the largest family history centers were re-designated as a "Library", such as the libraries in Draper, Utah, and Los Angeles, California. I'll try to find out dates and references. Lynnette and I work at the Los Angeles Family History Library. It is the bottom level of the Los Angeles temple visitors center. And the name, "Los Angeles Family History Library" is carved in the stone at the library entrance. -- Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 17:38, 18 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
There are currently 14 Family History Libraries, and we were talking with the director of the Los Angeles Family History Library yesterday. He travels to Utah next week for a meeting to instruct the family history library directors. -- Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 10:20, 6 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
