Behavioral Ecology Peer Edit edit

There seems to be a lot of resources used for this Wikipedia page. There are some formatting issues that I would change such as there are two reference lists, and I would choose the ones that are actually used throughout the page and delete the ones that are not used. There are a lot of external links listed, which is nice for references, but I would be pickier and only put ones that provide information that your page does not currently have. The U.mass site link does not seem to link to relevant information, but a general page. I would add some more information about the moth’s interaction with humans and various methods we can use to control it since you mention that this moth is a pest in the lead paragraph. I would also try to expand upon the eggs, and pupa sub-paragraphs since they are only two sentences. I like all the pictures included, as well as the video. The “appearances in media” section is not cited, and I would move this section towards the end of the page. I would also try to elaborate more on the parental care since it is given its own paragraph, or perhaps combining this information with the life cycle section. Other sections that could be expanded are the “protective behavior and defense” and the “gut” sections since these are too short to stand on its own as sections. The protective behavior information could be combined in the “enemies” section where you can mention how it defends itself. I would avoid mentioning specific names of scientists unless their study was particularly noteworthy. Sarahxyang (talk) 05:49, 1 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello,

I edited the article in the following ways: I added hyperlinks to different places – countries in the intro section, more complicated words in different sections. I corrected a couple grammatical errors. For the interactions with humans section, you could specify the side effects of chemicals. Overall, a good, clear article. Could expand more on the parental care and host plant sections, also the predator and parasites. Need to italicize all the species names. - sjwang312
