14-facet legend with a 20-facet photo edit

Isn't it strange that the caption and the article both tell about the legendary 14-faceted stakan, but the table-glass pictured in the photo obviously has about 20 facets?

I have half a dozen of Soviet faceted table-glasses in my apartment (actually, I drink mors out of one right now) and they all have 20 facets and look exactly like the one on the photo. These are modern, bought in the store this year, but look authentic. IF the "more classic" faceted granyoniy stakans existed, then picture of one of those is needed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.73.17.179 (talk) 17:44, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Also, all of the historical anecdotes in the article are urban folklore and should be labelled as such. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.73.17.179 (talk) 17:47, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Current sources edit

Since the person who reverted my edit asked me to explain my removal of the useless links - allow me to do so. Both of the sources I removed are self-published "fairy tales" and per WP:UGC or WP:SPS should not be used, especially as any kind of references. The second one, leading to barmenu.ru, could also be further classified as WP:LINKSPAM or WP:REFSPAM because it leads to commercial website which sells such glassware, and while this commercial website does not exist anymore such fact means that the information there is even more WP:NOTRELIABLE than if it would be from personal non-commercial blog/site.Omgwtfbbqsomethingrandom (talk) 23:48, 17 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Table-glassFaceted glass – The article has been somewhat better sourced through the AfD discussion, and lots of better names have been proposed. "Faceted glass" is a literal translation from the Russian and a perfectly plausible English description, so maybe it's best. If not, propose alternatives. Procedural close pending the outcome of the AfD. In such an event, I'd support re-creating the article, if delete is the outcome, or moving, if keep is the outcome, per nom. Doug Mehus (talk) 20:49, 8 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
There's not much chance that the outcome will be other than keep and maybe rename, so let's go ahead. Dicklyon (talk) 05:43, 9 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
OK, it closed as keep with comment "Any possible rename may achieve consensus through normal processes." Dicklyon (talk) 04:18, 16 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
