Weapons procurement? edit

I just watched this video on Youtube where Kyle Myers/Dmitri Potapoff is firing an Austrian 40mm auto cannon. Now I know the firearms laws in the US are pretty laissez faire but this is a serious weapon. How on earth is he allowed to get them, let alone fire them? I know it says he lives on a farm but this thing can shoot projectile almost 5 miles (max. range 7.160 kilometres (4.449 mi) ).

But there is nothing in the article actually says how he is allowed to acquire and use them? However I notice there is a section on an ATF raid, so is that why there is a huge gap in the narrative of this article? All this article states is what you can watch on Youtube - an American with a phony Russian accent fires various types of weapons.

What this article fails to address or explain the background? Where does he get them from? Does he need permits or a special license? Where does he keep such an arsenal? I mean a 40mm autocannon is not something you can put in your gun case! So far this article tells me no more than I already know from seeing just one Youtube video! 86.180.176.194 (talk) 21:08, 11 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

all machine guns are covered under NFA class 3 license and can be legally purchased by anyone in the US as long as you pay for the license and stamp. The ATF agent found nothing illegal and no arrests were made. – Ranmin (talk) 02:17, 13 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
If you read the details section of the video he explains why he is permitted to own it. - theWOLFchild 15:41, 16 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
