Fair use rationale for Image:Stal Dniprodzerzhynsk.jpg edit

Image:Stal Dniprodzerzhynsk.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Requested move 20 July 2016 edit

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: Moved. In light of the city move, and GiantSnowman's subsequent decision to support, I see a consensus here.  — Amakuru (talk) 08:57, 29 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

FC Stal DniprodzerzhynskFC Stal Kamianske – The city was renamed to Kamianske. The club has changed logo removing the old city name. 46.200.26.232 (talk) 16:51, 20 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose – At least until the city has been moved (RM in progress). IF the city is not moved then we should not move this article. Also UEFA calls the club FC Stal Dniprodzerzhynsk (per [1]). Qed237 (talk) 22:35, 20 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose per Qed237. GiantSnowman 07:29, 22 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. The club changed its name. Unfortunately their website has only Russian version and its contact page gives 404 error, but they have a league table identifying the team as Сталь Каменское. They also adopted a new crest referring to хоругвь г.Каменское (flag of Kamianske). Their website is rather poorly made but still proves that the team now refers to itself as "Stal Kamianske" or "PFC Stal" — NickK (talk) 15:24, 22 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
Oh, and I completely forgot to check the page title: it says ПФК «Сталь» (Каменское) | Официальный сайт (in Russian, translation: PFC Stal Kamianske. Official website). Thus we can safely say that the club already uses the new name — NickK (talk) 09:24, 25 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
In addition, after the first official match under the new name sports websites started to reflect this change: Footballdatabase, Flashscore, Sportstats etc. — NickK (talk) 09:34, 25 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Update: the city has been moved per Talk:Kamianske. @Qed237:, @GiantSnowman:; what is your opinion on this now? Thanks — NickK (talk) 13:43, 28 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Correction of the squad edit

  • In this edit [2], user Qed237 (talk · contribs) restored very old version of the squad section (as of 27 June 2016). Please revert his edit to reflect the squad updates made during last month, which was correct after my edit: [3] (as of 18 July 2016). Source for the updated squad is the official team page: [4] 46.200.26.232 (talk) 20:54, 20 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
To be clear I have nothing against updating the squad if it is reliable sourced (which it was), but my edit should not be reverted as we should not change the club name to something that does not match the page title. I considered that pure vandalism. So to be clear, update squad but to not modify team name. If team name should be modified it is through a page move. Qed237 (talk) 22:40, 20 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
  Done — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 12:35, 21 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Note on name edit

I take no stance on what is the "correct" name. However WP:LEADSENTENCE states that, "If possible, the page title should be the subject of the first sentence." Attempts to deviate from this guideline could be seen as disruptive editing. --NeilN talk to me 03:46, 21 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose. The club was dissolved before playing any game with a new name. 91.124.117.29 (talk) 09:23, 9 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per nom. GiantSnowman 12:13, 9 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per nom, reliably referenced in the article. The fact the club dissolved after the name change does not mean we should keep the article at a previous name. Fenix down (talk) 09:18, 11 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment. Read WP:COMMONNAME. The club has a long history as FC Stal. It was not known under the new name because he didn't play any game as FC Feniks (only 15 days with a new name, renamed on 26 June 2018, dissolved on 9 July 2018). In addition, the club's official website did not even mention the renaming. The similar case is FC Asmaral Moscow (common name) that was known as FC Presnya Moscow for the some last years. 91.124.117.29 (talk) 21:57, 11 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. Everything that made the topic notable happened under the original name, and the new name has not become the common name of the club. Dekimasuよ! 07:10, 15 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
