The entry refers to WAFB as a town in all of the census information. This is confusing as it sounds like it is talking about Cheyenne, the town that it is located in. Around Cheyenne, as with most military towns, the base is known as, well, the base.
I am changing "town" to "base". If this is incorrect stylistically, please let me know.
I also adjusted the location a bit in the opening paragraph. Makes it sound kind of like it is out in a field away from town. Instead, it directly borders Cheyenne.
Will be researching some other info about the airstrip. I believe it is currently the longest air strip at the highest altitude. Will confirm before posting. ___________Thepearl
checked BRAC and found no effect on this base, aside from moving a minor command from a realigned base to it.
Disambiguating between the town and the base edit
This article appears to be almost entirely about a town that is located on or near the base. Also, with good intentions, "town" was changed to "base" in some locations (see the comments above). The article needs to separate information about the town and the base. For example, the article states that the base's area is 5 square miles. The base's website says that its missiles are spread out over a 12,600-square-mile area. It is unclear if that is the size of the whole base, but it obviously must be at least 12,600-square miles. -- Kjkolb 13:57, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
