Talk:Eye on the Hog

Gondola edit

What's this gondola thing that Colleen Jones mentioned [1] was used to place hog line officials way above ice level in 1982-1985? I don't even know what the word means in this context. Are there any photos/videos to show this setup? -- CurlingClips (talk) 21:11, 14 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Technical specs edit

I'm not sure if we can incorporate this into the article, but it would be nice to confirm that the sensor handles uses capacitive sensing, mercury switch, magnetometer, etc. Right now I'm not even sure what type of battery they're using. Manual [2] says Manganese dioxide lithium. Data Sheet [3] says Carbon monofluoride lithium. -- CurlingClips (talk) 00:35, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Disabled edit

WCF has disabled the electronic handles on many events in 2021-2022, relying on honor system instead.

How it works edit

The article lacks a description of how the sensor works and what information it provides to officials.Bill (talk) 20:25, 21 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
