Comments edit

Lede
  • "Explorers on the Moon (French: On a marché sur la Lune) is the seventeenth of The Adventures of Tintin, " — Seventeenth what?
  • "who are aboard a manner rocket mission to the moon." — Do you mean "manned rocket"? Sounds better than "manner rocket", which might make the reader feel that the rocket lacks mannerisms! LOL.
  • "of the story. The story was" — Avoid repetition of story.
    • I've gone with "volume" here although would be up for any alternative suggestions. Midnightblueowl (talk) 19:13, 24 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Synopsis
  • "disrupting the artificial gravity and sending everyone floating" — Wikilinks for "artificial gravity" and "floating" could be better for those readers who are not wholly aware of the two terms. For clarity's sake.
    • Good point! I've added a link to the former although could not find an appropriate link for "floating". Midnightblueowl (talk) 19:13, 24 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Found the link for 'floating' myself.  — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 03:13, 25 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • A simpler word for "fissure" would be good as the word seems a tad complicated. Maybe chasm?
    • I've gone with chasm, although I think that it is probably on a similar level to fissure. Midnightblueowl (talk) 19:13, 24 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Actually, chasm is a synonym of fissure, which sounded more scientific and some readers might not understand it well.  — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 03:13, 25 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
History
  • "Publishers were unhappy" — Who? Casterman or Turner and Cooper?

Thats about it from me. Once again, great job, Midnightblueowl. Do ping me when you have resolved the comments.  — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 12:24, 24 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

That's great Ssven2; many thanks! Midnightblueowl (talk) 19:13, 24 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Bob de Moor edit

How come we have a GA on this book which doesn't even mention Bob de Moor? Seems like a serious oversight. Destination Moon (comics), also a GA, does mention him (the fact that he got hired), but again nothing further. According to Pierre Assouline, De Moor already played a "pivotal role" in Destination Moon (backgorunds, and the rocket!)[1], and we all know how much the Moon landscapes by De Moor were essential in the look of the "Explorers" story. The De Moor biography has more information[2]. Fram (talk) 08:26, 5 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
