Rename? edit

@Andy M. Wang and Fgt7: Following the edits made by Fgt7 in 2014, the page title doesn't match with the text in the article. Should we rename it? Fgt7, do you have a source for the "molecular studies"? Thanks,  SchreiberBike | ⌨  00:49, 3 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • >the page title doesn't match with the text in the article. Should we rename it?
YES
Eumedonia is a valid genus, the title must be Eumedonia eumedon
  • >do you have a source for the "molecular studies"?
YES, see the next article:
Talavera, G., Lukhtanov, V.A., Pierce, N.E. & Vila, R. (2012):
Establishing criteria for higher-level classification using molecular data: the systematics of Polyommatus blue butterflies (Lepidoptera, Lycaenidae). Cladistics (2012) 1–27. 10.1111/j.1096-0031.2012.00421.x
  • Besides, it must replace el text " The larvae feed on Geranium species" by "The larvae feed Geraniaceae species (genera Geranium and Erodium)

@Fgt7: Thank you for the reference. I made the changes and will start the process to rename the article. Feel free to edit further.  SchreiberBike | ⌨  23:34, 3 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Plebejus eumedonEumedonia eumedon – In 2014 the article text was changed so that Eumedonia eumedon was listed as the name and Plebejus eumedon was listed as a synonym. The article was not moved at that time. I noticed the mismatch and requested a technical move. That was contested (see discussion here). Following further discussion immediately above, I added a reference to the article and proposed this move. Thank you.  SchreiberBike | ⌨  19:56, 4 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • Qualified support If the genus Eumedonia is recognized, there ought to be an article for the genus, currently it's a redirect to Plebejus The Talavera paper also has E. kogistana and E. persephatta included in Eumedonia. Plantdrew (talk) 00:36, 6 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
