Umlaut edit

It is my opinion that the punctuation over the 'ö' in Esbjörn be removed, if nothing else, at least in the title of this article, since this version of Wikipedia is English and we don't use that punctuation in English. I believe this makes it harder for someone who speaks English to find this article, since that punctuatuion isn't available on our keyboard.

I see no reason that the 'ö' can't be kept in the script for the tags at the bottom of the page, so Swedish and other Northern European's can also find this article.

Someboy had already created a redirect from Esbjorn Svensson Trio on July 11, 2006, long before this post. --EnOreg (talk) 02:02, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Condolence register edit

Is the Esbjörn Svensson Condolence Register (http://www.ac42365.woelmuis.nl/) a possible link on this page? Altough this link is obviously temporary, it seems right at the time. But maybe it's not what Wikipedia is about. Reaction needed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Johan Bewegingsorganisatie (talkcontribs) 12:17, 23 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Nice thought. Personally, I don't think it should go into the article because it doesn't seem to add any significant information on Esbjörn. Others may have different opinions… Now the link is at least on the talk page. Cheers, --EnOreg (talk) 01:58, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Source for Radiohead as an inspiration? edit

Just because something is atmospheric and emotionally powerful, that does not mean it has to be credited to Radiohead. There is no source that evidences that someone believes Radiohead were an inspiration for Esbjorn Svensson. Radiohead might be linked to E.S.T. through their common alternative, atmospheric approach to their respective genres, but it seems very unlikely that one of the most revolutionary classically- and jazz-trained pianists would need to have heard of Radiohead to have come up with his material. While Radiohead have made many excellent and dark, atmospheric songs, E.S.T. is a level higher in innovation, and in a genre that goes back as far as Debussy and Ravel. Main conceptual influences are more likely to be from experiments in classical music and perhaps avant-garde jazz pianists, than pre-OK Computer Radiohead. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.114.165.82 (talk) 16:42, 11 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
