Added his new Piano Concerto, Foreign Bodies, Insomnia, all being performed next year by the LA Phil. What is the criteria for "Key Works"? As he's becoming more well-known as a composer, maybe it would be helpful to have a complete Works List instead of Key Works. Just an idea. The following line needs to be changed: "He also worked with the Philharmonia Orchestra to record the complete works of György Ligeti for Sony Classical, but unfortunately the project was left unfinished due to lack of funding." Not true. According to an interview with Ligeti that appeared in The Economist on July 26th, 2001, the orchestral portion of the Sony project was not completed because Sony lacked funds; the orchestral pieces were recorded but not released because Ligeti hated what he heard. The key line from The Economist: "But he was scathing about the recordings of his orchestral work and he has fought Sony in court, successfully so far, to prevent their release."
