Seems to be a bit on confusion about his date of birth - leading to many changes.

http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2009/01/vale-ernie-bourne.html - says NB: TV Tonight is advised birthdate as listed in IMDb is incorrect., and puts his age as 82, agreeing with some editors who have put 1926.
Assuming the article text is OK, then it cannot be 1932, as he would not have been able to join the British Merchant Navy in World War II - when he left home at 14, it would have been 1946! Ronhjones (talk) 18:42, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
