The correct way of spelling the name would be Eren Jaeger. It is a German last name and means "hunter", as referenced in the first opening theme. Your assumption would be original research, and it doesn't matter anyway since the official English manga has formally decided to use the Yeager spelling. If the author wrote up how he picked the name because it meant "hunter", then you could include that explanation. I don't know how to do anything on Wikipedia, and I am half Japanese so excuse me if some of my English is broken. Before I start, I am NOT here to be argumentative or anything like that (some of the replies seem semi-aggressive so I wanna make sure you know that isn't my goal). As far as I know, everyone who speak Japanese and translate his name into English actually use "Jaeger" and everyone I know outside of Japan in the English speaking world uses "Jaeger", regardless of there being more than one way to spell it. I think, since more people maybe know it as "Jaeger", then why not put that as his last name, and then in the information state how it is "Yeager" in the manga, rather than the other way around with how Funimation uses "Jaeger" since Funimation is actually correct? I believe, official or not, the manga made a mistake in translating. That is not uncommon. But mistake or not, they decided on it and that's his name, so that's that. So both are sides on this discussion are right, literally no one is wrong here. That being said, when I was looking for something of Eren and say "Yaeger" it threw me off, but then I got to learn in English translation of manga only they used that name, so that was pretty cool to know, although I was confused. Please read MOS:ANIME As discussed above, we have standardized for the spelling of the characters' names to the Viz English manga translation as that is the most widely distributed of the English versions of the work. It will use Yeager. Note that the Funimation anime version uses Jaeger, and thus any Wikipedia articles that refer specifically to the anime adaptations such as List of Attack on Titan episodes will use Jaeger. It's not a question of which one is more right, as both refer to the same person and brought you to this article. If you have objections to the spelling that Viz chose, then complain to Viz. I was just wondering why this particular spelling was chosen is all, and now I know. I felt it more appropriate to ask you guys directly instead of in a forum behind your back as if I was tattling. Adding information about Eren Yeager Figures and "Perfume"

Hey all, I was wondering if this page could use a little information regarding the existence of the Eren Yeager figmas, nendoroids, and, well, the Eren Yeager "perfume." I've drafted up two to three sentences to add under "Other Media" section, and I also have about 5 citations for this information. I did my best to avoid mentioning company names, and my citations, although they are external links, only link to pages which confirm the existence of these figurines/the perfume. I don't think it is actually possible to purchase those products directly via those links (In one case, the product is "coming soon" but not for sale.) If anything, I think collectors who come to this wiki page wondering if these things exist could use this information, especially regarding the Eren Yeager perfume--since that is kind of a unique collectible/phenomenon in my opinion. If no one responds to this post, I will go ahead and post the content. If someone disagrees that it should be on the page, then the changes will get reverted, and there will be no harm done. However, I wanted to give the group here a heads up before posting the information; I hope you will see that I've tried to keep it as relevant to the page as possible. I added info about an Eren rubber strap accessory and might add info about a plush that was released, too. (Some really cool Eren merchandise hasn't been released yet, such as the action figure from Medicom's "Real Action Heroes" line and the adorable "Gift" plush.) I hope you don't mind that I added the company name…I don't think it's necessarily showing bias because it's a fact that a particular company made a particular item. Also, as a collector, it's helpful to know the name of the company that made the item! ^_^ As for the spelling of Koubutsuya, the spelling you have is the best I found, too. Please remove the above mentioned part from the wiki since we don't have any official confirmation about Mikasa getting married or paradis getting destroyed by enemy forces. Neither the official guidebook (released on june 9th) nor the ongoing art museum acknowledge these things.
