Talk:Equatorial Guinean peseta

Not a good compromise, to be honest. If the French had put "franc française" on their coins and banknotes, that would have been the official name and should appear in the article. Putting Equatorial Guinea peseta seems out of place, implying that "Equatorial Guinea peseta" was the official name, which it wasn't. Perhaps

peseta (peseta guineana)

would be best?

There's no agreed style for these articles yet. Maybe one should be agreed, then we can stick to it.

Well, "Equatorial Guinean peseta" was its English name, and while I'm not completely happy with that, it's policy to have articles at their English names, if they exist... I think we can agree to leave the "Equatorial Guinean" out in the article itself, if the name stays as it is. Okay? ナイトスタリオン ✉ 19:35, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

If I understand correctly, you're saying that it's policy for the article's title to be "Equatorial Guinean peseta", as it is now, but that that doesn't have to be in the text of the article? If so, I'll make the change I proposed above and we'll see how long it lasts.
