Phonology or not phonology edit

The section headed Phonology lists five differences from other varieties of Spanish, none of which is phonological. Perhaps the first vague sentence, "resembles more standard peninsular Spanish than American Spanish dialects," means EqS retains the distinción (s≠þ)?

Three of the listed differences mention "no distinction...". Does that mean both forms are used indiscriminately (so that a listener can make no meaningful inference from the use of vs usted for example), or that one is used in all circumstances including where other dialects would use the other? —Tamfang (talk) 00:54, 27 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
