Episode 1.8 (Secret Diary of a Call Girl) → Episode 1.8 – WP:MISPLACED. The specific format "Episode X.X" does not appear to be generally used. * Pppery * it has begun... 20:32, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
- If you oppose this, it would be nice to specify where you think Episode 1.8 should point. It can't be red or point here because WP:MISPLACED and that doesn't solve the ambiguity problems that would lead to an oppose. It can't really point the dab Episode 8 without any evidence that the entries there are called "Episode 1.8". Where else could it go? * Pppery * it has begun... 20:59, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. I understand what you are saying, but even if we don't have an article for 1.8, that convention is understood online to mean season 1 episode 8 (see insource:"Episode 1.8"). Such a title should not be the primary of anything. Since WP:MISPLACED is an essay there is no conflict here. Gonnym (talk) 06:59, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
- Comment I agree with the nom that the status quo is inappropriate per WP:MISPLACED. We also have Episode 1.1 (Secret Diary of a Call Girl) with the base name Episode 1.1 pointing to the dab page Episode 1. I suppose that if at least one other entry at Episode 8 could theoretically be referred to as Episode 1.8, than creating a redirect to the dab page as {{R from ambiguous term}} would resolve the issue for now. - Oppose. "Episode 1.8" is a generic term used for the eighth episode of the first series (season in American) of any TV series. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:27, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
