The Monogahela River doesn't come close to Williamsport, PA. Perhaps the Susquehana is what is meant? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.153.29.246 (talk) 20:47, 20 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
As I read the book it says he passed through Carlisle before coming to the Monogahela, near (Williamsport). This makes sense on a trip to Marietta. Maybe there was a place called Williamport on the Monogahela in the 1800's when the book was written. Roseohioresident (talk) 20:48, 21 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
