There should be a separate page for environmental sensitivity (illness) edit

Environmental sensitivity is a term used by the CHRC in Canada to describe a group of illnesses characterized by sensitivity/reactions to one's surroundings. Will need to create a page dedicated to the term Environmental sensitivity in the Context of Canadian law.Silliestchris (talk) 06:09, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

No. Seems to be an odd Canada-specific use of the term as an umbrella concept, properly covered at Disability in Canada. Alexbrn (talk) 06:14, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
It gets used other places, as well. Check out this example from the USA (James Madison university, Department of psychology, Virginia, USA)

A non-WP:MEDRS source, and a different definition to the Candian one, further showing this is not a well-defined or stable concept. Alexbrn (talk) 06:25, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
What do you mean, non WP:MEDRS, this is pubmed!Silliestchris (talk) 06:30, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Here, I found a few more research articles specifically using the term "Environmental Sensitivity":

Great, you can use a search engine! All the more reason for my hatnote being useful (which you deleted), so that confused readers can find the right article. In some of them, "Environmental Sensitivity" is MCS; in others, not. Alexbrn (talk) 06:45, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
You were very clear that environmental sensitivity does not mean multiple chemical sensitivity, therefore referring readers this way would be misleading. I am going to get started on a page for environmental sensitivity (illness) and would love for you to be involved.Silliestchris (talk) 06:50, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
I was very clear about the meaning in one source, yes. Other sources say different things. The situation is messy and such things as hat notes help our readers. I would oppose the creation of a new page and caution against it; in general, look to MeSH for globally accepted terms usable for Wikipedia headings on bio/medical topics. As I read more about wikipedia policy, it looks like a disambiguation page would be more appropriate for environmental sensitivity. Thoughts? Silliestchris (talk) 08:28, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
