Talk:Entropy (computing)

This page is obviously in need of help from an expert. The linux 1.3.3.0 kernel predates the wikimedia project and the shortcoming is only of historical note. The page currently fails miserably at being informative.
Bad/Wrong Title?
editThis page isn't about entropy, it's about entropy generating techniques and APIs in computer systems. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.92.214.230 (talk) 18:26, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
I agree, (I modified the talk section title a bit). The discussion of information theory entropy is covered in Entropy (information theory), and entropy source on computer operating systems are covered in dev/random, and so, this article seems to contain excessive information about underlaying implementations of various operating systems. I suggest it be redirected to /dev/random (possibly with a merger), because it's within the scope of "computing". Dannyniu (talk) 02:33, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
