Fair use rationale for Image:EO logo.gif edit

Image:EO logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Sources needed edit

This is one of the biggest organization for entrepreneurs, but it needs some more sources. Please help out to make this article compliant with Wikipedia. Talktrue (talk) 23:42, 27 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Article was absolutely dire and looked like an advert - completely unsourced - Stubbed. --Cameron Scott (talk) 21:12, 28 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

found these soruces to work off of: www.inc.com/topic/Entrepreneurs'+Organization and the Bibliography here definitions.uslegal.com/y/young-entrepreneurs-organization/ and maybe this douglasmagazine.com/component/k2/item/3749.html - real thin which is weird - RollingDeskTrio (talk) 23:18, 25 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sources for notability edit

Jodi.a.schneider (talk) 10:41, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

neither press releases nor listings in directories establish Notability. The subject needs significant coverage in reliably published third party sources.-- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 11:06, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
This is evidence that it is an international organization. A press release is reliable for establishing that a CEO really does something (though not reliable for asserting notability!). Evidence from MULTIPLE countries (and that was just the beginning of what could be found) that an organization exists gives the presumption that *more sources should be looked for*. Were they good enough sources themselves I would have added them to the article rather than to a discussion. Jodi.a.schneider (talk) 05:01, 20 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
About Reference for Business: they are reputable though Advameg may not be. Rutgers (state university of NJ) library says says: "Reference for Business - Includes articles from the Encyclopedia of Small Business, the Encyclopedia of Business, the Encyclopedia of American Industries, the Encyclopedia of Management, and related sources published by Thomson Gale." Gale publishes encyclopedias carried in many libraries. Another university library gives this description: "Encyclopedia of Small Business. Kevin Hillstrom and Laurie Collier Hillstrom, Eds. 2nd ed. Detroit: Gale, 2002. 1212 pp. 2 vols. Designed to provide entrepreneurs with how-to information that they can apply to their own business. Contains 600 detailed articles and overviews of all the key information needs of small business owners, including financing, financial planning, business plan creation, market analysis, sales strategy, tax planning, and human resource issues." Anyway, this topic is covered in the 4th edition (though I agree that a name change from YEO would have been advisable).Jodi.a.schneider (talk) 05:23, 20 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion edit

This page is not unambiguously promotional, it's a global non-profit organization, and one of the largest organizations for entrepreneurs in the world. The article is not self promotional, it contains cited facts from independent third parties and news organizations. Please add reputable third party sources of information, but under wikipedia guidelines this does not qualify for deletion. Ljswiki (talk) 01:54, 28 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Chairs edit

Hi EOnmoschella, please do not re-add that information as the onus is on you to get consensus before adding information once it has been removed per WP:BRD. As it stands, the material is unsourced and not clearly encyclopedic. Please also declare your WP:COI and whether you are being paid to edit this article. Hi Star Mississippi I am an employee of Entrepreneurs' Organization and part of my job is editing this page to ensure it maintains relevant and up-to-date information. The request to add previous chairs came from our current Chair and it was incredibly time-consuming to put together. I have attempted to better cite the source as to not violate any wikipedia rules. I ask that it is not removed again. I can assure you it is accurate information. Thanks.

Hi EOnmoschella. Please read WP:PAID and WP:COI and note the mandatory paid disclosure (I've put instructions on your talk). This is exactly why you should not be editing this page directly but rather make edit requests. I will look at your edits to see whether they can stand, but in the future please do not edit the article (not a page) directly but rather follow the system put in place for editors such as yourself. Hi Star Mississippi I have updated my profile per your request. If the content in the table is not accepted, I understand. thanks
