Endorsement in insurance edit

An endorsement is merely an alternation on the existing policy terms. This may be relatively, such as the correction of a misprint or changing the address of the insured. Alternatively, it can be of great importance, such as the removal of a policy exclusion or in some other way pro founding affecting the cover provided. Endorsement should be attached to the policy schedule, since they constitute or relate to information peculiar to the particular policy. They are often in standard format and will be frequently start with a phrase such as "Notwithstanding anything contained herein to the contrary" and conclude with a phrase like "Subject otherwise to the terms and conditions of this insurance". Thus, they will clearly identify with all other terms of the contract. Dom.A
