I have a few suggestions for any editors who might want to use them, for additional context and knowledge, some of her relatives who were notable people: Ist cousins once removed, Thomas Middlemore of Melsetter House, Orkney, industrialist and famous mountaineer, who Emily visited on the Island of Hoy to do paintings. SGC Middlemore author. Sir John Middlemore British MP. His daughter Dr Merrel Middlemore psychoanalyst. William Middlemore, industrialist, who was the father of Thomas, SGC & Sir John. Emily Parker Groom was the daughter of John Groom and Anna Pirie. She was the granddaughter of Thomas Groom whose sister Mary married William Middlemore of the Birmingham, UK saddle company. Thomas married Emily Parker and they emigrated to the US. Emily's granddaughter, Emily Parker Groom is the cousin of MP John Middlemore's children.
