Justification for removing tags edit

I noticed the article has been marked by MB as potentially not meeting Wikipedia's Notability Guideline for geographic features, as well as for relying too heavily on primary sources. As the creator of the article, I realize that the latter is my error, as it seems I simply forgot to include the sources I used for the Architecture section. I have since added these sources to the section, so hopefully this can be cleared up.

As for the building not meeting notability standards, I have to respectfully disagree. As outlined in the Wikipedia page for notability guidelines for geographic features, a building may be notable as a result of their historic, social, economic, or architectural importance. I believe that as one of the only contemporary buildings on McGill's historic campus, and having been designed by one of Canada's premier architectural firms, nine-time Governor General's Awards in Architecture winners and RAIC Gold Medalists,^[1] constitutes architectural significance. The architects were also awarded two significant awards for the design of the building.^[2]

In addition, "Elizabeth Wirth Music Building" returns 847,000 results on Google Search, while Montreal's tallest building, "1000 de La Gauchetière" returns 51,000. Of course, I understand that this is not an accurate means of measuring notability however a minor argument can still be made of it.

I will remove the tags for now for the reasons stated above, as I believe the issue has been adequately addressed, per Help:Maintenance template removal#When to remove. Please respond here if you disagree. Thank you. Jonahrapp (talk) 19:50, 30 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
