Talk:Electoral constituencies of Samoa

Latest comment: 7 years ago by InternetArchiveBot in topic External links modified

Need to get information as to what villages make up each constituency. Also does anyone have or can anyone create a map that shows these electoral constituencies?

I intend to link each electoral constituency to its own page once I can track down information about current an previous incumbents to each constituency. (Nimbus 15:04, 30 January 2006 (UTC))Reply

Look at the third external link that I added today.--Ratzer 14:28, 4 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry I tried tiding it up and I think I sort of messed thing up. (Nimbus 18:45, 31 January 2006 (UTC))Reply

Notes on changes edit

I'm unsure of the accuracy of the numbering of the list of political districts. It seems to use the numbering of the map linked to the article, which uses different numbering to the Territorial Constituencies Act 1963. See differences:

Also given that the parliament source is a deadlink, I'm updating the article to go with the legislation, which contains "CONSTITUENCY No. .. ..." before each heading. Please edit accordingly if you find a better source. --Michael Billington (talk) 23:48, 14 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

The map the old data was based on is a scan from Samoa: mapping the diversity By R. Gerard Ward, Paul Ashcroft, based on '48 districts' enumerated in 1991 census (there are 41). While it is useful to view, it's no longer correct and is probably online in violation of copyright. I'm taking out the link and replacing it with a citation of the source. --Michael Billington (talk) 02:17, 15 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
