Interesting note edit

I recently read The Court of the Stone Children. John Clute in both The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction (1992) and The Encyclopedia of Fantasy (1997) asserts that a subsequent book not now listed on Wikipedia's page, To the Green Mountains, 1975, is a sequel. Last night I bought this book, and I expect to read it soon. I see no sign whatsoever that it is, in fact, a sequel to Court.

I should probably note that as far as I know, Cameron is remembered mainly as the author of the Mushroom Planet series, which means the two encyclopaediae just cited are likely to be important references for anyone looking into her other works. (Admittedly, so are references about children's books.)

I've previously had edits removed because they represent "original research". I assume that if I read the book, find it is not in fact a sequel, and try to say so on Wikipedia, such an edit will be removed. On the other hand, if I say it IS a sequel, I can cite the encyclopaediae, and it'll be OK. If I say nothing either way, then people who consult the Clute articles remain misled. Argh.

The EoF errata online (<http://sfe3.org/addenda/fec.html>) have been closed for some time (several years; the last update reported on that page is 2003); I haven't checked whether they're closed right now. The EoSF is in the process of being turned into a third edition, which will be online only; I haven't checked whether errata to the printed second edition (1992) are still being accepted, but the front page (<http://sfe3.org/addenda/sfec.html>) has not been updated since 2002, and recent deaths such as Kage Baker's and Robert Holdstock's are not reported. Obviously, if I did get the error reported in either of these, I could then correctly describe the situation in Wikipedia, but as things are, I don't see how I can.

I am not a registered Wikipedian but have commented on, and occasionally edited, several pages (offhand I can think of Statius and "fictitious entry" - the latter is an example of my edits being removed). My own website at <http://www.panix.com/~josephb/> offers various evidences of my research abilities (and laziness).
